Saturday, 22 November, 2014
On Wednesday, November 19, I had the great privilege of being the Keynote speaker for Canadian Humanitarian, Beyond Belief Fundraiser in Medicine Hat, Alberta.
Canadian Humanitarian is a non-religious, non-political organization dedicated to providing hope and opportunity to children, families and communities in Africa.
Canadian Humanitarian’s Education Support Centres are focused on assisting orphaned and vulnerable children reach their potential through education. The organization is focussed on long-term solutions for these children and their families. Students are supported from their first day of kindergarten until their last day in school.
Numerous Doctors and Nurses have volunteered to go over to Africa with Canadian Humanitarian to help others. I am personally very inspired by these individuals who give of their time and skills towards making the lives of the most vulnerable people better. They are always looking for more volunteers as the need is very great.
Canadian Humanitarian raised $830,000 in 2014 towards these efforts.
I look forward to working with Canadian Humanitarian in the future and encourage others to learn more about all the great things they are doing.
